It's been a long summer - but that doesn't mean our Gamma Iota bros haven't been keeping busy! We've been keeping the PDC spirit alive with our July 4th fireworks fundraiser (we made over $13,000!) and Leadership Development Seminar (LDS) in Tampa, Florida! LDS took place 8/6 to 8/9, and we had three bros go to represent GI. And, of course, they brought back some goodies: ... the awards and achievements our chapter won for the 2013-2014 year!
Another event we can't wait for is 2014-2015 RUSH! Hopefully we can soon add more great future pharmacists to our brotherhood. P1s... come at us, (potential) bros!
AAAE, GI!

Brothers came together to make delicious home-cooked meals to raise money for our philanthropy, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This year, we raised over $600 to aid those children in need. This event is becoming more successful every year and we hope it will continue to do so. We, the Gamma Iota Chapter of Phi Delta Chi, proudly supports the mission of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which is "...no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family's ability to pay."
We are supporting the stance and promoting the prevention of childhood obesity with our year long project called Putting A Stop To Childhood Obesity (P.A.S.T. Childhood Obesity). As one of the chapter of a national pharmacy fraternity, our mission is to strive to provide the quality services to their patients, thereby advancing public health. One particular health project that is completed by this fraternity is known as a window display. A window display is a project that stresses communication of public health service information to a lay audience. Outreaching and essentially teaching are the guides to seeing a change in the community. With the prevention of childhood obesity, a variety of future preventable diseases will no longer exist.
